There is a cozy corner of my home in Fremont which is dedicated to making art, design and illustrations. I use this space to tell stories of food, art and culture of a South Indian immigrant in the Bay Area.

I usually explore these stories and narratives using visual mediums such as watercolor paints, pencils and oil pastels, gold foil embossing, etc. Occasionally, I dabble in fiber art and ceramics to have fun and refresh my creative practice. In my spare time, I love cooking South Indian food, taking walks with my son, visit botanical gardens, listening to music and storytelling.

I have a background in architecture / urban design and my interests are in urban life, a lens that informs some of my compositions. I am also a Shilpa Shastra aficionado, learning this traditional Indian art and architecture under Guru Drdha of Divyakala arts.

Since 2000, I have had an ongoing infatuation with creative people, places and lifestyles and I am finally bringing those interests into this blog in tandem with my Instagram page. My goal is to inspire you all with stories, projects and paintings that bring joy!
